The Practice currently has four Practice Nurses and one Health Care Assistant. This gives us nursing cover all day Monday to Friday.

The Nursing team consult with a wide variety of appointment types that cover a range of conditions and issues:

Chronic Disease Management

Separate, and in addition to the care GPs give to patients with long term conditions, the nursing team will review patients with the following diagnoses to check, for example, bloods, bp, lifestyle factors, inhaler checks, they will give advice and education related to your condition and answer any questions that you have:

• Asthma
• COPD
• Epilepsy
• Cardiovascular Disease
• Hypertension
• Diabetes
• Rheumatoid Arthritis
• Mental Health

 As well as that, they also do:

• Contraceptive pill checks
• Cervical smears
• Wound management
• Coil checks
• Injections (e.g. Vit B12, Hormone, Contraception)
